KAMANAI began with two friends, Rob and Sahel, who shared an idea while attending Tulane University. What started as a simple conversation grew into something much bigger: a reminder that most of the things we fear don't bite once we have the courage to take the first step.

In Japanese, KAMANAI means "does not bite." To us, it's a mindset. It's choosing curiosity over fear, exploring what feels unfamiliar, and realizing that the world is often kinder than we imagine.

We also believe growing older doesn't have to mean growing up. The curiosity, imagination, and wonder we had as children are worth holding onto. They're what lead us to discover new places, create new ideas, and become who we're meant to be.
